Neptune's Dive College

Instructor Development

The Recreational Dive Instructor Program is an extensive and comprehensive college and university credit eligible program. Candidates must be graduates of the Recreational Dive Management Program or an already certified Divemaster or Instructor from another recognized agency.

Candidates will be required to draw upon their knowledge and skills learned in previous training. The PROGRAM will set the foundation on which you will build your instructional career. No matter whether you are teaching open water divers or specialties in Enriched Air, First Aid, O2 Provider, the fundamentals of the instructional methodology taught during this program will be applied.

The total length of the program is 4-6 weeks with the Pre-IDC and IDC for not less than 12 days. It is our intent that you’ll acquire all the knowledge and skills that the IDC has to offer. This will allow you to be successful at the Instructor Evaluation and more importantly beyond the evaluation in the real world.
